Crossing the border from Vietnam (Hanoi) to Laos (18 hour overnight bus ride), my bag of peanuts and bottled water did not suffice, so at the border crossing for Laos, this was the only appealing option.
Dried pork jerky with glutinous sticky rice. The rice is simple, filling and easy to eat by hand, and the jerky is actually pretty darn delicious. I wish Americans could learn the proper way to make this stuff!
